Grad Bash 2020 - Friday, April 3rd

Ticket Sales:
Tickets will be sold on school pay only! We will post more information as it becomes available.

Forms you will need:
you will need to Complete all 3 forms (1 online & 2 printed) before purchasing your ticket. You will also need to make sure your obligations are cleared.

bring your forms & School pay receipt to room 522 at lunch. Permission forms will be turned in starting in February. dates will be posted once they are available.

Grad Bash Details:

Grad Bash at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure will be on April 3, 2020.
     -Seniors will meet in the cafeteria at 5pm for check-in and we plan to arrive back on campus at 3am. 
 
Universal does not accept annual passes for this event. Due to Universal needing our ticket numbers over a month in advance, we will not sell any tickets after our ticket sale dates end.  No exceptions will be made.

Ticket Sales will run through School Pay only. Seniors purchasing a ticket must make sure that all of their obligations are cleared and that they complete the 3 forms above. Two forms are permission slips and the other is a Google Form for contact information.

Ticket Sales will be posted as soon as the information is available. 
 
Please make sure you keep your School Pay receipt and bring it with you to check-in at the cafeteria on the night of the event. Your receipt is your ticket until the night of the event, so please don’t lose it. You will also need to bring a photo ID.
 
Forms can be turned in during lunches only to room 522.  Permission forms will be turned in starting in February. We will post actual dates once that information is available.Please bring your school pay receipt with you when you turn in your forms. Obligations will be checked when you turn your forms in, so please make sure your obligations are cleared.
 

To attend Grad Bash, you need to…

1.            Read all of the Frequently Asked Questions below carefully.  Make sure especially that you understand what you can and cannot wear & Universal's bag policy! Also know that nothing can be left on the bus! 

2. Make sure you read the contract below and fill out the Google form.

3.            Make sure you do not have any financial obligations.  If you know you do, please pay those before purchasing your tickets. This may be verified through Mrs. Mahaffey in the Media Center or Mrs.Spiegel in the bookkeeping office.   
 
4.            Please know you will need to fill out two permission slips as well as a Google Form.  You will need to turn in the permission slips to Mrs. Bell in room 522.  Please make sure, even if you are 18, that your parent / guardian signs both of these forms. 

On the activity permission slip, please write the following:

6.            Check with coaches, club sponsors, etc. to make sure you do not have a game or event that night.  Unfortunately, if you do, you might not attend be able to Grad Bash.  You will need to make a choice. 

7. It is Universal's policy that students cannot drive themselves to this event. You must ride the buses from school to Universal as well as ride the buses from Universal back to school. No exceptions will be made.


Contract between Senior Attending Grad Bash and TCHS

By turning in the permission forms and filling out the above Google form, you are agreeing to the Grad Bash requirements and dress code.  You understand that you must abide by all the rules.  If you choose not to follow the rules and requirements, you understand that you may be refused admittance into or removed from Islands of Adventure/Universal Studios and will not be given a refund. You also understand that you are to ride the TCHS bus to and from this event at the prescribed times. 


Universal’s Grad Bash Frequently Asked Questions


1.     WHAT IS GRAD BASH?

This night is all about you!  At Universal’s Grad Bash '20 you will find a universe of entertainment and excitement, at both Universal and Islands of Adventure theme parks.

2.     WHEN IS GRAD BASH?

Friday, April 3rd, 2020.  We will meet at TCHS at 5:00 p.m. and arrive at Universal by 7:00 p.m.  You will then be able to enjoy both parks and hang out with all your senior friends until 2 a.m.  At 2 a.m., we will get back on the buses and return to TCHS.  We should return to TCHS by 3 a.m.  Make sure you have transportation to and from school. Please call your ride when we leave Universal to ensure they are at school when we return.

3.     HOW MUCH IS GRAD BASH?

Grad Bash tickets are $100 each. This includes the cost of charter busses. Since this is a special event, Universal will not allow annual passes.

4.  WHEN WILL TICKETS BE SOLD?

Tickets will be sold on School Pay. All forms should be turned into room 522 during lunches only.

5.     WHAT PERFORMERS WILL BE AT GRAD BASH?

6.     WHICH PARKS WILL BE OPEN?

Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure will both be accessible (much like Halloween Horror Nights).  You will not be able to leave these parks to enter City Walk. 

7.     WHO CAN GO?

TCHS Seniors who do not have major discipline issues and any financial obligations. 

8.     WHEN IS MY MONEY DUE?

All money is due at the time of ticket purchase through School Pay.

9.     WHAT IF I HAVE AN ANNUAL PASS?

Because this is a special event, Universal does not honor annual passes.

10.     CAN I TURN IN MY PERMISSION SLIPS NOW AND MONEY LATER?

No. Tickets will only be sold through School Pay during the dates listed above. Permission slips should be turned in to room 522 during the dates & times listed above.

11. WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

*You will be searched prior to entering the park!*

GIRLS: Dresses, skirts, shorts (MID THIGH), casual pants (including jeans without holes), blouses and tops, comfortable shoes (including tennis shoes, dress sandals, boots, and flip flops)

GUYS:  Casual pants (including khakis and jeans), shirts with collars (golf/polo and dress shirts), t-shirts, comfortable shoes (including tennis shoes, dress shoes, boots, and flip flops)

Prohibited Items (You will NOT get in to the park if you bring/wear…)

NO TIMBER CREEK APPAREL!

​• Clothing or accessories with area codes

• Visible undergarments

• Clothing with visible tears, holes, and shredding

• Belts, wallet chains, or jewelry of any kind containing spikes

• Extremely revealing clothing including: bathing suit tops or bottoms

• Sheer clothing, or see-through clothing of any kind

• Bare midriffs and bare sides should not show even when arms are extended above the head

• Any clothing deemed inappropriate at a school function

• Guys may not wear tank tops or undershirts

• Clothing or tattoos with language or graphics that are obscene, offensive or suggestive of sexual, vulgar, drug, alcohol, or tobacco-related messaging

• No matching or like attire among students

No backpacks, briefcases, camera bags, tote bags, and purses larger than 8.5" x 5.5" (1/2 sheet of paper)

No basketball shorts

No tube tops, tube top dresses, one-shoulder shirts or dresses, or an other off-the-shoulder dresses or backless clothing of any kind.


If you have any questions about your attire, make sure to bring something else to change in to.  If you do not have on proper attire by the time we get on the bus , we will not let you attend with us and you will not be able to get a refund.  

12.  WHAT HAPPENS IF I GET IN TROUBLE AT GRAD BASH?

This is a TCHS / OCPS school function; the code of conduct still applies.  Students who break any TCHS rules will be dealt with administratively just as if it had happened on campus.  In addition, students breaking any laws will be turned over to law enforcement. 

13.  CAN I DRIVE BY MYSELF TO/FROM UNIVERSAL?

No.  Universal will not allow anyone into the park that does not arrive on a bus with their school.

14.  MAY I BRING A GUEST?

No, you may not.  This event is only for TCHS Seniors.  You may not bring underclassmen or any guest that is not a TCHS Senior.    

15. WHAT IF I CAN ONLY GO FOR PART OF THE TIME?

 Students will not be allowed to leave early or arrive late.  If you go, you are committing to stay the entire time.  Universal does not allow anyone to leave before 2 a.m.
